Job Brief: Responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and safe operation of Data Centers and other company critical facilities across multiple sites through the execution and coordination of preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities for critical electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical infrastructure. Manages maintenance contracts, external service providers, infrastructure projects, equipment installations, fault resolution, site inspections, and operational readiness while ensuring compliance with company procedures, safety requirements, and applicable industry standards. Supports continuous service availability across a 24×7 environment through effective facility management, vendor and customer coordination, capacity and risk monitoring, incident response, and proactive identification and mitigation of infrastructure risks.
Key Responsibilities: - Perform the day-to-day operation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Data Center critical and other assigned company sites infrastructure, including electrical power systems, uninterruptible power supply systems, direct current power systems, batteries, generators, cooling systems, fire protection systems, and environmental monitoring systems to maintain high availability and reliability. - Execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities, including equipment inspection, functional testing, fault diagnosis, maintenance coordination, verification of system performance, and completion of maintenance records and technical reports. - Handle Data Center incidents, equipment failures, and infrastructure alarms by identifying faults, assessing service impact, performing immediate corrective actions, coordinating escalation when required, restoring normal operation, and preparing root cause analysis reports with corrective and preventive actions. -Manage and execute colocation customer technical activities, including rack preparation, power allocation, primary and redundant power connections, equipment installation, cooling verification, connectivity coordination, customer access, migrations, expansions, and decommissioning activities. - Prepare and maintain operational procedures and technical documentation, including standard operating procedures, methods of procedure, emergency operating procedures, single-line diagrams, maintenance records, test reports, equipment records, asset information, and as-built documentation. - Execute and manage Data Center changes and critical activities by preparing and reviewing implementation procedures, risk assessments, rollback plans, service-impact assessments, required resources, and safety requirements, and performing or coordinating the approved activities while maintaining service availability. - Conduct regular Data Center inspections, risk assessments, infrastructure health checks, and compliance reviews to identify operational risks, capacity limitations, single points of failure, safety issues, and technical deficiencies, and implement or track the required corrective actions. - Troubleshoot and support complex technical issues and provide technical guidance to engineers, technicians, customers, contractors, and vendors during maintenance, incidents, installations, migrations, and infrastructure upgrades, while preparing technical reports and escalating major risks when required. - Manage and supervise external contractors, vendors, and service providers performing preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance or project activities within the Data Center, including reviewing work scope and technical procedures, coordinating site access and work schedules, monitoring safety and quality compliance, supervising execution, verifying completed work and test results, and ensuring proper documentation and closure in accordance with contractual and Data Center requirements. - Support and execute infrastructure projects, expansions, migrations, equipment replacements, and site improvement activities across Data Centers and other assigned company facilities, including site surveys, technical assessments, implementation coordination, testing, commissioning, acceptance, handover, and verification of operational readiness.
EDUCATION :Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical, Electrical Engineering or any related field LEVEL OF EXPERIENCE : 3-5 years of experience in Data Center Operations and maintenance . CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURE Essential:
- Certified Data Centre Professional (CDCP)
- Accredited Operations Specialist (AOS)
- Valid Driving license
Desirable:
- Certified Data Centre Specialist (CDCS)
- Accredited Operations Professional (AOP)
TOOLS & SYSTEMS Essential:
- Strong knowledge of DC power systems such as Huawei, Delta and Eaton.
- Strong knowledge of UPS systems such as Huawei, Eaton and Vertiv/Emerson.
- Strong knowledge of Data Center precision cooling systems, including CRAC, In-Row Cooling and DX systems.
- Experience with EMS and DCIM platforms.
- Excellent ability to read and analyze SLDs, electrical schematics, cables installation and control diagrams.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Desirable:
- Basic knowledge of structured cabling, fiber-optic systems, Meet-Me-Room (MMR) and cross-connect infrastructure.
- Basic knowledge in computer networking.
