Job Description
Aqovia is seeking a data-driven Data / Insights Officer / Analyst to unlock the power of our educational data assets. In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing user behavior, engagement metrics, and academic outcomes across our nationwide LMS platform. You will translate complex datasets into actionable intelligence, helping stakeholders optimize training delivery and learning initiatives. Working alongside data scientists and product owners, you will design dashboards that monitor platform health, user retention, and educational impact. Your insights will directly steer the evolution of our AI-driven features, ensuring data transparently drives decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale transactional and behavioral datasets from the LMS to uncover trends in learner engagement and course completion rates.
- Design, build, and maintain interactive business intelligence (BI) dashboards tailored for executives, project managers, and internal teams.
- Develop predictive models and data segmentations to identify at-risk learners, optimizing retention and training efficacy.
- Collaborate with data engineering and development teams to ensure data integrity, consistent data modeling, and robust reporting pipelines.
- Formulate clear, concise narrative reports and data-driven presentations that communicate technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis to evaluate the real-world performance and user interaction metrics of embedded AI features.
- Establish and monitor data quality frameworks, identifying data collection gaps within the Moodle and custom application ecosystems.
Skills and Experience
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Insights Analyst, or Business Intelligence Specialist.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and advanced querying across relational databases.
- Hands-on expertise with industry-standard BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
- Solid baseline knowledge of data analysis utilizing programming languages like Python or R (specifically libraries like Pandas and NumPy).
- Professional communication skills are essential. Candidates must possess excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Nice to have
- Direct experience extracting and interpreting data structures from the Moodle LMS database architecture (log tables, completion criteria).
- Basic understanding of predictive modeling, machine learning concepts, or statistical analysis within EdTech.
- Experience utilizing JavaScript-based visualization libraries (such as D3.js or Chart.js) to craft bespoke reporting widgets.
- Knowledge of local public-sector reporting formats, data governance policies, and compliance workflows within Pakistan.
