Responsibilities• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize efficiency.
- Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations.
- Ensure database availability and business continuity through regular maintenance and monitoring.
- Implement database security, user management, access controls, and encryption policies.
- Execute database patching, upgrades, and migration activities.
- Monitor storage utilization and support capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot database incidents and resolve performance-related issues.
- Support production, UAT, SIT, and development database environments.
- Collaborate with application support, infrastructure, and development teams to resolve database-related issues.
- Maintain database documentation, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
- Perform database health checks and preventive maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with banking security standards and internal IT policies.
- Participate in on-call support and scheduled maintenance activities when required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of hands-on experience in database administration.
- Experience administering both Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server in production environments, including support for banking applications.
- Hands-on experience with RMAN backup and recovery operations, along with database patching and routine maintenance.
- Strong experience with database performance tuning and troubleshooting production database issues.
- Experience with database security administration, including user and role management, access control, least-privilege configuration, password policies, and basic auditing.
- Experience collaborating with application support, infrastructure, and internal IT teams to troubleshoot incidents, coordinate maintenance activities, and restore database services.
- Eligibility to work in Egypt.
- Experience in banking or financial services environments is a plus.
