This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Engineering Manager, Enterprise Fulfillment based in Canada.

This is a senior engineering leadership opportunity focused on building and scaling technology that supports complex enterprise fulfillment operations. You will lead teams responsible for critical systems while balancing technical excellence, operational reliability, and business impact. The role offers the opportunity to shape engineering strategy, strengthen team capabilities, and drive high-quality execution across a distributed environment. You will work closely with product and technical leaders to solve challenging problems and build scalable solutions. Accountabilities:

  • Lead and develop engineering teams responsible for enterprise fulfillment capabilities, setting clear direction, supporting career growth, and fostering a high-performing and collaborative engineering culture.
  • Own engineering execution across complex initiatives, ensuring teams deliver reliable, scalable, maintainable solutions while maintaining strong technical and operational standards.
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and other cross-functional leaders to define priorities, translate business needs into technical strategies, and align teams around shared outcomes.
  • Provide technical leadership on architecture, system scalability, reliability, and long-term platform evolution, balancing immediate delivery needs with sustainable engineering investments.
  • Establish effective development practices, delivery processes, and operational standards that improve execution quality, system health, and team effectiveness.
  • Use data, engineering metrics, and operational insights to identify opportunities for improvement, resolve challenges, and continuously raise the quality of enterprise fulfillment technology.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience leading software engineering teams, with a track record of managing managers and/or senior engineers in complex technology environments.
  • Strong software engineering and system design expertise, with the ability to guide architectural decisions involving scalable, reliable, and highly available systems.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives while balancing technical priorities, business objectives, and operational requirements.
  • Strong people leadership skills, including hiring, coaching, performance management, organizational development, and building inclusive, high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities, with confidence working with senior technical, product, and business leaders.
  • A strategic and pragmatic mindset, with the ability to move between long-term engineering vision and hands-on problem solving when needed.
  • Experience working effectively in distributed or flexible-first environments and collaborating across multiple teams and functions.
