Role Description

  • We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge business requirements and technology delivery in a complex Asset Management environment. The role combines deep business analysis expertise with hands-on technical skills in basic data analysis, system configuration, technical process analysis.
  • You will work closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, and Technology teams to translate business and regulatory needs into scalable technical solutions, while actively contributing to automation, data validation, and integration activities.

Your key responsibilities

  • Analyze, refine business and regulatory requirements by designing technical solutions across data, integration, workflow, and reporting layers
  • Creating analysis documents in Confluence, Jira, other formats as required by governance procedures
  • Translate business needs into executable technical specifications for developers
  • Be able to write SQL and Oracle (PL/SQL) queries, procedures, and data transformations to support implementations and testing
  • Actively support and validate system integrations (APIs, batch interfaces, messaging) using XML, JSON, and structured data formats
  • Analyse existing systems and processes to identify automation opportunities and reduce manual effort
  • Support deployments, rollouts, and post‑go‑live stabilization, including issue analysis and resolution in SCRUM and Agile
  • Collaborate closely with Front Office, Middle Office, Operations, and Technology teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and are operable at scale

Your skills and experience

  • 5+ years of experience in technical business analysis, business analysis, project management, consulting with 3+ years in Asset Management, Audit, Consulting, or Financial Services
  • Strong understanding of trading, portfolio management, assets, and asset classes (fixed income and equities)
  • Strong analytical mindset that helps you to “connect the dots”
  • Clear and structured communication
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Hands‑on experience with SQL, Oracle (PL/SQL), and complex data models
  • Experience implementing and supporting integrations, including APIs and batch interfaces (XML, JSON)
  • Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies, including testing and release processes
  • Experience supporting regulatory or ESG‑related implementations (data, reporting, controls)
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (data analysis, validation), plus Word, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus
