Java / Full-Stack Software Engineer

SYNTAX IT Group is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Java Software Engineer / Full Stack Software Engineer to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will develop software solutions for enterprise clients while contributing to the R&D of our software products. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Java development and a deep understanding of back-end technologies, along with experience in Angular-based front-end websites and databases. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, high-quality software solutions across back-end technologies, primarily using Java.
• Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Understand and maintain Angular-based front-end applications.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices like test-driven development (TDD) and code reviews.
• Design, build, and integrate APIs using REST standards, working with API Gateways.
• Ensure software quality by implementing unit testing, integration testing, and automated test strategies.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using tools such as Jenkins and Azure Pipelines, within an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Support application reliability by contributing to logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting in production environments.
• Continuously explore and adopt new technologies to enhance development processes and system performance.
• Document technical designs and processes, contributing to team knowledge sharing and best practices.

Skills & Qualifications:

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in back-end development with strong Java OOP skills.
• Strong experience with the Java Spring Boot framework.
• Strong experience with API design.
• Solid understanding of Javascript-based front-end development.
• Experience with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
• Strong understanding of relational databases (Oracle, Postgres) and messaging systems (Kafka).
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes, etc).
• Basic understanding of distributed systems and integration concepts.
• Experience with PrimeNG and Tailwind CSS will be considered an asset.
• Experience with .NET for cross-team collaboration will be considered an asset.
