Full description

We are looking for a Java Developer with 3 to 9 years of experience to join our team. This is a fully remote opportunity for candidates based in Toronto, Ontario.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Java applications and backend services.
  • Build RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code.
  • Work with SQL databases and develop efficient queries.
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, product, and engineering teams.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes.
  • Troubleshoot application issues and improve application performance.

Required Skills:

  • 3 to 9 years of professional Java development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Java 8/11/17 or newer.
  • Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
  • Experience with REST APIs and Microservices.
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
  • Experience with Git and Maven or Gradle.
  • Experience with JUnit and automated testing.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Kafka
  • Docker and Kubernetes
  • AWS or Azure
  • Jenkins or other CI/CD tools
  • NoSQL databases
  • Enterprise or banking domain experience

Work Location: Fully Remote – Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
