This role combines advanced data science expertise with hands-on customer collaboration and technical consulting. You will help organizations solve complex business problems using machine learning, analytics, and AI technologies. The position offers the opportunity to work across industries and a wide range of real-world data science use cases. You will guide customers through platform adoption, technical discovery, training, and production-grade project development. Success requires both strong technical depth and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences. You will also contribute to mentoring, knowledge sharing, and helping data science teams grow their capabilities. Accountabilities: In this role, you will combine technical data science expertise with consultative and customer-facing responsibilities to help teams successfully adopt and apply modern AI and machine learning capabilities.
- Help users discover and master the platform through training sessions, office hours, demonstrations, and ongoing consultative support.
- Analyze and investigate data science and machine learning applications across different industries, business contexts, and use cases.
- Provide strategic guidance to customers and account teams to identify opportunities and support successful project outcomes.
- Scope, design, and co-develop production-level data science projects alongside customers.
- Support customers throughout their journey, from initial discovery and integration through deployment and ongoing adoption.
- Explain technical concepts and data science methodologies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Mentor and educate customer data scientists and other team members, contributing to their professional development and technical growth.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and continuously expand expertise across data science, machine learning, and AI.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on data science experience with curiosity, communication skills, and a genuine interest in teaching and collaborating with customers.
- 5+ years of professional coding experience using Python, R, and/or SQL.
- 5+ years of experience building and applying machine learning models.
- Strong understanding of underlying data systems and modern platform architectures.
- Familiarity with technologies such as cloud architectures, Kubernetes, Spark, and SQL.
- Strong curiosity and willingness to learn new technical skills and technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical subjects clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Empathy, collaboration skills, and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge with colleagues, customers, and the broader data science community.
- Experience in consulting and/or customer-facing data science roles is a strong advantage.
- Experience with data engineering or MLOps is highly valued.
- Experience developing web applications using JavaScript, RShiny, or Dash is a plus.
- Experience building APIs is a plus.
- Familiarity with enterprise data science tools is beneficial.
- Passion for teaching, presenting, or public speaking is an advantage.
