We are excited to announce that we are seeking candidates to fill an Associate Business Analyst position based in Harrisonburg, VA or Staunton, VA.

From day one, you'll join a collaborative, data-driven team dedicated to helping Farm Credit of the Virginias make informed business decisions that support agriculture and rural communities. In this role, you'll work alongside professionals across lending, marketing, finance, HR, IT, operations, and compliance to gather, analyze, and interpret data that drives business performance. You'll leverage analytical tools and technologies to uncover insights, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic initiatives across the organization.

Salary Range: $62,500 – $91,300

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Perform analytics work that supports enterprise-wide initiatives focused on growth, sustainability, and operational excellence.
  • Gather, process, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop predictive models and forecasting tools to support proactive decision-making and business planning.
  • Create meaningful data visualizations and dashboards using tools such as Tableau and Power BI to communicate business insights.
  • Partner with lending, marketing, finance, HR, IT, operations, and compliance teams to understand business needs and deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Conduct champion/challenger testing and analytical evaluations to support business strategy and portfolio performance.
  • Translate complex data analysis into actionable recommendations for business leaders and stakeholders.
  • Support the development and maintenance of reports that meet organizational reporting needs.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency to support accurate analysis and reporting.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance analytical, technical, and business knowledge.
  • Support ad hoc reporting and analytical projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Business Analytics, Economics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with data analysis, statistics, and business intelligence concepts preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, R, Tableau, Power BI, or similar analytical tools preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions within a business context.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of emerging analytics technologies, tools, and industry best practices preferred.
  • SQL, R, Tableau, or related certifications are desirable.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
