Full description

About Oh Polly Oh Polly is a fashion brand founded in 2015, with more than 10 million followers across Oh Polly and Bo+Tee, our activewear brand. We design and sell our own products and operate across ecommerce, warehousing and global fulfilment. That gives the data team exposure to a wide range of operational and commercial systems.

The Role You’ll join a small data team within Tech, working on the pipelines and integrations that move data between our operational systems and Snowflake. The role covers both data engineering and integration work. You’ll build and maintain data models used for reporting and analytics, as well as Python services that connect systems including Shopify, NetSuite, our 3PL, returns platform and PIM. These services run on AWS, with infrastructure managed through Terraform. The work is a mix of building new solutions and improving existing ones. Depending on the work underway, you might spend more time in Snowflake and SQL, or more time working with Python, APIs and AWS.

We’re also starting to experiment with AI tooling and agentic workflows across the data platform. This is still an emerging area for the team, so there’s an opportunity to help explore where these tools can genuinely improve how we build, operate and use our data systems.

Key Responsbilities

  • Build and maintain pipelines that bring data from third-party and operational systems into Snowflake
  • Build and support integrations between operational systems, primarily using Python, AWS Lambda and Terraform
  • Develop and maintain the transformation layer and data models used for reporting and analytics
  • Work with the wider data team on the structure and direction of the Snowflake warehouse
  • Work directly with teams including Operations, Merchandising and Trading to understand requirements and turn them into reliable data solutions
  • Improve consistency between systems by introducing clear definitions, validation and data quality checks
  • Investigate data issues and trace problems across source systems, integrations and warehouse models
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting when the business needs an answer quickly
  • Contribute to experiments with AI-assisted development and agentic tooling where it can improve data engineering workflows

Skills and Requirements

  • Strong SQL and Python skills
  • 3+ years of experience building data pipelines, integrations or similar production data systems
  • Experience working with a cloud data warehouse, ideally Snowflake
  • Experience consuming REST APIs and working from vendor API documentation
  • Comfortable investigating unfamiliar systems and understanding how data moves between them
  • Able to take an unclear business requirement and turn it into a practical technical solution
  • Experience with dbt for data transformation and modelling
  • WS, particularly Lambda
  • PowerBi experience
  • Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tooling
  • Ecommerce or retail data, such as Shopify, an ERP, WMS or 3PL
  • Experience working with APIs and webhooks between SaaS platforms
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools or agentic workflows
