Pax8 is hiring a Data Lifecycle Analyst in the Philippines to help build and maintain trusted enterprise data records that power intelligent decision-making, governance maturity, and our AI-enabled future.

              · During your first 6 months, you'll be based in our Manila office to immerse yourself in the team, the culture, and your role.

              · After 6 months, you'll be eligible to request a hybrid arrangement of up to 2 days working from home each week, tailored to your role and team rhythm.

🧩 What You'll Be Doing

Data Inventory Management (40%)

Own the completeness, accuracy, and usability of the enterprise data inventory, including ownership, classification, sensitivity, retention, system of record, and regional storage location.

Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Team Data Intake (20%)

Engage application owners, IT teams, regional leads, business stakeholders, and governance partners to validate inventory information and translate responses into structured, usable records.

Data Flow Documentation & Classification Execution (20%)

Maintain data flow, integration, and lineage documentation using governance-provided standards and apply classification schemas defined by the appropriate governance owners.

New Application Onboarding (5%)

Act as the data inventory checkpoint for new applications to ensure ownership, classification, retention, data flows, and regional footprint are documented prior to production readiness review.

Reporting, Exception Tracking & Governance Support (10%)

Maintain lifecycle reporting, exception tracking, documentation gap follow-up, and governance partner support while keeping compliance ownership with specialist teams.

Planning, Prioritization & Strategy Execution (5%)

Stay aligned with leadership direction and data lifecycle priorities, apply judgment where guidance is incomplete, manage priorities and dependencies across concurrent initiatives, raise findings appropriately, and support future governance tooling adoption.

✅ What We're Looking For

  • 3-5 years of experience in data inventory, records management, information lifecycle management, data governance operations, or a related role.
  • Experience working in governance, risk, compliance, security, privacy, audit, or technology-led environments is helpful, especially when the work involved structured documentation, records, inventories, or follow-through.
  • Familiarity with governance and compliance-driven environments where standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, or similar frameworks may influence data handling, documentation, classification, or retention expectations.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records, inventories, documentation, and supporting artifacts in a structured environment.
  • Hands-on experience maintaining large inventories or tracking registers without dedicated governance tooling, using structured manual records and collaborative documentation platforms.
  • Working knowledge of data classification, data lineage, and data retention concepts.
  • Strong proficiency in spreadsheet-based inventory work, including data reconciliation and operational reporting.
  • Familiarity with collaborative documentation platforms used to maintain shared records.
  • Experience working across IT, Legal, Security, Privacy, Compliance, Data Governance, and business teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to receive structured information from specialist teams and accurately reflect it in operational records without independently interpreting specialist-owned requirements.
  • Experience operationalizing project deliverables into steady-state processes.
  • Self-starting, independent approach with the ability to structure work, build project plans, track actions, and maintain momentum across multiple priorities.
  • Clear, polished written communication and the judgment to tailor information for different audiences.
  • Confidence working across different teams, building relationships, and navigating situations where stakeholders may need support or constructive challenge.
  • Comfort using approved tools to improve productivity and quality in documentation, analysis, reporting, and inventory management.
  • Comfort working across time zones and with regional stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating within strict scope boundaries and routing matters outside scope to the appropriate specialist team.
  • Interest in cloud, software, SaaS, or consultancy environments where pace is high and priorities change quickly.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data discovery, DSPM, privacy, security, or compliance platforms preferred.
  • Background in records or information lifecycle management preferred.
  • Exposure to regulated or compliance-driven environments preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation or similar service management familiarity preferred.
  • Experience supporting tooling adoption from manual records into a dedicated platform preferred.
