What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Business Analyst (ORBIS) you will be part of our highly successful PBU team, utilizing your skills in design, build, testing, and support of software products for the hospital and healthcare environment.

Working with an extended highly skilled team, you will be making a profound impact throughout the healthcare sector.

You will:

  • Work closely with the Orbis Product Manager to ensure product features, functional requirements, and technical specifications are accurately defined, prioritized, documented, and communicated to all stakeholders, including the global development team.
  • Provide product and domain expertise to support presales activities, product development, and customer engagements. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clinical domain experts, and customers to ensure solutions align with business and clinical needs.
  • Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and functional requirements, translating customer needs into high-quality Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and innovative product features that support Dedalus' strategic healthcare market objectives.
  • Support Regional and Global Product Managers in defining standardized business processes, solution services, and their alignment with clinical workflows, care activities, and functional transactions.
  • Evaluate market opportunities and product enhancements, identify potential applications of technologies and offerings, and collaborate with technical and development teams to ensure solutions are delivered in accordance with defined requirements.
  • Support quality assurance activities by contributing to test scenarios, reviewing and updating test scripts, managing testing feedback, and ensuring system documentation and product updates are maintained accurately.
  • Ensure clinical safety risks and issues are identified, assessed, and appropriately managed throughout the software development lifecycle, in collaboration with the Clinical Safety Quality Assurance Lead.

Essential Requirements

  • 5 + years’ experience working as a business analyst with an EMR either in a vendor organization or health environment
  • Proven ability to assess business needs and translate them into relevant solutions
  • Experience installing, configuring, documenting, testing, training, and implementing new applications and systems
  • Experience working with information technology with functional groups within an organization
  • Experience working with business processes and re-engineering, also experience with contemporary engagement methods, including Proof of Concepts, application design and delivery methodologies (Waterfall/Agile).

Desirable Requirements

  • Healthcare domain knowledge, clinical or health IT background (vendor experience)
  • Knowledge of ANZ healthcare processes and requirements
  • Interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Strong communication, good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Presentation skills to present to management and customers
