QA Automation Engineer

DataXstream is hiring a QA Automation Engineer to strengthen our automated testing practice. You will work across end-to-end test automation, performance testing, quality metrics, and CI/CD integration as part of a focused QA team with broad scope across our products. 

 

We care about underlying technical competence, not tool checklists. Our stack includes BrowserStack Low-Code Automation, K6, and CI/CD with Atlassian. If you have strong fundamentals, we expect you to pick these up quickly.    Main Duties and Responsibilities 

• Design, build, and maintain E2E and regression tests in BrowserStack Low-Code Automation, including reusable modules, data-driven coverage, and suite reliability.

• Build and run performance and load tests using K6.

• Contribute to test metrics and reporting: aggregating results from multiple test sources into dashboards that provide visibility into product quality.

• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines so tests run automatically and failures surface early.

• Debug beyond the surface: when a test fails, dig into the application, network, and data layers to find the real cause.

Must-Have Skills and Qualifications 

• Solid proficiency with TypeScript, comfortable writing, and debugging code. 

• Proficiency with browser developer tools (inspecting elements, network traffic, and console output) to debug failures. You can reason about why something broke, not just that it did. 

• Experience with test automation in any form (framework-based or low-code). 

• Self-directed problem solver who unblocks themselves first. 

• Comfortable working with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) as part of your daily workflow: generating and refining test scripts, debugging, and accelerating routine work. 

• Proficiency in English.

 

Nice to Have 

• CI/CD pipeline experience (Atlassian Bamboo or similar). 

• Performance/load testing experience (K6, JMeter, Gatling, or similar). 

• Experience applying AI to testing specifically, such as AI-assisted test case generation or test data creation 

• Exposure to SAP ecosystems or enterprise B2B software. 

• Experience building test reporting or quality dashboards.
