This is a fully remote role within the United States.

As a Senior Manager of the AI Team, you will be responsible for the overall direction, quality, and impact of a high-performing engineering team building AI applications and integrations that are a cornerstone of the platform. You will work closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to help shape how AI is used across the company.
This is a hands-on leadership role, roughly 60% people leadership and 40% technical contribution.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coach a team of talented engineers, providing regular feedback and career development discussions.
- Structure and sequence work, accurately communicating status and quality metrics for all deliverables.
- Serve as a counterpart to Product, translating strategy into actionable roadmaps and engineering plans.
- Build and sustain a high-performing, inclusive culture on the team.
- Contribute directly to the design and implementation of production systems.
- Own architectural decisions involving API design, integrations, and infrastructure.
- Lead the team’s operational readiness, including observability, evaluation of AI systems, and overall testing.
- Keep our AI applications efficient and cost-effective as we scale.
Here’s what you bring to the role
- 6+ years of production experience in Python, 2+ years of managing a team.
- Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML tools and frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience shipping a complex system with significant customer impact.
- Ability to work effectively across functions and levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
