Everforth ECS is seeking a Junior Network Administrator to work in our Pocatello, ID office.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in assisting agents, analysts, and professionals with the technology essential for combating terrorism, espionage, cyber threats, and major criminal activities. We are looking for candidates dedicated to delivering high-quality service, providing courteous and accurate technical assistance in a timely, efficient, and professional manner. This position involves tasks related to the implementation, integration, and support of computer systems in a mission-critical response operations environment.

This role involves a shift work schedule and an on-call rotation, including weekends and holidays. Candidates must be flexible in their availability. While we make every effort to accommodate individual preferences, it's essential to understand that specific shift requests are not guaranteed and are assigned based on operational needs. Therefore, candidates should be prepared to work various shifts as dictated by based on operational needs as determined by management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, plan, and implement complex LAN, WAN, and WLAN network systems.
  • Develop specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture.
  • Assess future needs of statewide education networks and Internet services, recommending upgrades or configuration changes as necessary.
  • Monitor and analyze network utilization patterns, including bandwidth and application usage.
  • Evaluate and integrate new network technologies and maintain awareness of evolving protocols, technologies, and applications.
  • Recommend updates or modifications to ensure the network meets anticipated future demands.
  • Provide instruction, mentoring, and technical guidance to team members and clients on network technologies and protocols.
  • Assist with enterprise network implementations, including hardware, software, and component integration.
  • Monitor network performance and execute maintenance, operations, and troubleshooting plans.
  • Maintain and support network hardware, software, and applications.
  • Conduct network component testing and provide user and administrator training.
  • Participate in after-hours maintenance and join the engineering on-call rotation as needed.

Qualifications

  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI/CI-Poly if required for contract compliance.
  • Technical certifications (Network +, CCNA, CCNP or other network related)
  • 1+ years of experience supporting application personnel.
  • Intermediate problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Experience providing technical support in a business or enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience with complex networks, network-centric applications, and LAN/WAN connectivity.
  • Knowledge of failover and disaster recovery processes, network and server connectivity troubleshooting, Windows Server 2012, and analytical tools.
