Ignite Digital Services has an exciting opportunity for a UiPath Solutions Architect / Senior RPA Developer to support the design, development, integration, and deployment of an AI-powered Command Center application for Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC).

This role will serve as a key technical contributor supporting the development of a unified operational application that provides near-real-time visibility into existing automation workflows, intelligent exception management, operational analytics, and AI-enabled decision support. The solution will leverage UiPath Apps, UiPath Orchestrator, APIs, and AI capabilities within a Department of War (DoW) enterprise environment.

Unlike a traditional RPA developer position focused primarily on building individual bots, this role requires a broader understanding of the UiPath platform and the ability to architect and develop an application that integrates and monitors existing production automations. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on UiPath development skills with solution architecture, API integration, data visualization, troubleshooting, and customer-facing technical leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop an AI-powered Command Center application using UiPath Apps to provide a consolidated operational view of existing production automation workflows.
  • Serve as a technical lead for the UiPath solution architecture, including application design, integration patterns, security considerations, data flows, and deployment approach.
  • Configure and support the UiPath Apps development and runtime environment within a DoW enterprise platform.
  • Integrate existing production automations with the Command Center using UiPath Orchestrator APIs, REST APIs, OData, queues, jobs, processes, and automation telemetry.
  • Develop near-real-time dashboards and application views displaying automation execution status, performance metrics, queue depth, processing times, completion rates, exceptions, and other operational indicators.
  • Develop drill-down functionality that enables users to analyze individual automation executions, process instances, transaction-level details, historical trends, and exception conditions.
  • Design and implement exception-management workflows that enable users to identify, classify, prioritize, acknowledge, assign, escalate, and resolve automation exceptions.
  • Support integration of AI and Generative AI capabilities to enable capabilities such as natural-language querying, exception analysis, anomaly identification, trend analysis, and decision support.
  • Work with technical and functional stakeholders to assess existing production automations, Orchestrator configurations, queue structures, telemetry, data availability, exception patterns, and integration requirements.
  • Design solutions that securely integrate disparate automation and operational data while maintaining appropriate role-based access controls (RBAC), authentication, and authorization.
  • Support integration and authentication using enterprise security mechanisms including OAuth 2.0 and CAC/PKI, as applicable to the Government environment.
  • Conduct functional testing, integration testing, troubleshooting, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with Government stakeholders.
  • Participate in iterative design and refinement sessions to optimize application layouts, user workflows, alerts, exception prioritization, and operational dashboards.
  • Develop technical documentation including solution architecture, interface and integration documentation, configuration documentation, deployment procedures, troubleshooting guidance, and knowledge-transfer materials.
  • Conduct technical demonstrations, training, and knowledge-transfer sessions for Government users and technical personnel.
  • Collaborate closely with Ignite engineers, project leadership, Government technical teams, UiPath/platform administrators, automation developers, and business process owners.
  • Help establish scalable architecture and integration patterns that can support future expansion across additional automation workflows, operational use cases, and DoW organizations.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, automation, systems integration, application development, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on UiPath experience, including UiPath Apps development and implementation experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with UiPath Orchestrator, including jobs, processes, queues, assets, triggers, logs, monitoring, and administration concepts.
  • Experience integrating applications and platforms using REST APIs, OData, JSON, OAuth 2.0, and other API-based integration patterns.
  • Experience working with UiPath Orchestrator APIs and retrieving automation execution, queue, transaction, exception, and performance data.
  • Ability to translate operational and business requirements into scalable technical architectures and application designs.
  • Experience designing dashboards, operational interfaces, workflow applications, or monitoring solutions that present complex technical information in an intuitive format.
  • Strong understanding of RPA architecture and the enterprise automation lifecycle, including development, orchestration, monitoring, exception handling, deployment, and operational support.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex application, API, integration, authentication, and automation issues.
  • Experience conducting functional testing, integration testing, and supporting User Acceptance Testing.
  • Ability to create clear technical architecture, configuration, deployment, and knowledge-transfer documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers and technical stakeholders in an iterative Agile/prototype development environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • UiPath Certified Professional certification or equivalent UiPath technical certification.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a UiPath Solution Architect, Technical Lead, or Senior UiPath Developer on enterprise implementations.
  • Advanced experience with UiPath Apps and UiPath Orchestrator APIs.
  • Experience architecting solutions that integrate multiple UiPath automations into a centralized operational dashboard, command center, or management application.
  • Experience with Generative AI, AI/ML services, intelligent document processing, or AI-enabled automation.
  • Experience integrating Generative AI or Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities through APIs.
  • Experience developing anomaly detection, predictive analytics, operational intelligence, or AI-assisted exception-management capabilities.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint, Teams, Jira, or similar enterprise platforms.
  • Experience integrating UiPath with ERP systems, including SAP or Navy ERP.
  • Familiarity with SQL, relational databases, data transformation, and operational analytics.
  • Experience developing web applications or user interfaces using technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, or CSS.
  • Experience with Git or other source-control and DevSecOps practices.
  • Understanding of enterprise identity and access management, RBAC, CAC/PKI, OAuth 2.0, and secure API integration.
  • Experience supporting applications or automation solutions within DoD or U.S. Federal Government environments.
  • Familiarity with DoD cloud, Platform-as-a-Service, or Impact Level environments.
  • Active DoD security clearance.
  • Proven ability to operate independently, solve ambiguous technical problems, and rapidly learn new technologies and customer environments.

Salary: $130k+ to align with experience and education.
