Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Epic Data Conversion Analyst to support a large-scale Epic implementation for a West Coast healthcare organization.
This is a highly hands-on role focused on clinical data conversion, CCDA ingestion, data quality, validation, and Epic data migration activities. The ideal candidate has recent experience converting data into Epic from multiple legacy systems and can work directly within Epic Bridges and Epic conversion tools to support complex migration efforts.
Candidates should have demonstrated success supporting Epic conversions involving CCDA/PAMI data, source-to-target mapping, ETL processes, data validation, and troubleshooting data quality issues throughout the conversion lifecycle.
This is a fully remote, long-term contract opportunity supporting a major Epic data conversion initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on Epic data conversion activities from legacy systems into Epic.
- Extract, transform, map, validate, and load clinical and operational data into Epic.
- Support CCDA ingestion and migration efforts, including PAMI data:
- Problems
- Allergies
- Medications
- Immunizations
- Analyze source-system data structures and develop source-to-target mapping specifications.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues, including duplicates, missing values, mapping discrepancies, and validation failures.
- Execute mock conversions, testing cycles, reconciliation activities, and production cutover support.
- Work directly with clinical, operational, and technical teams to validate conversion accuracy.
- Troubleshoot conversion issues and participate in post-conversion stabilization activities.
- Support data migration efforts across multiple legacy systems.
- Ensure data integrity throughout the conversion lifecycle.
- Document conversion processes, mapping decisions, validation results, and issue resolution activities.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Epic Bridges certification.
- 5+ years of hands-on Epic data conversion experience.
- Recent experience supporting an Epic implementation, migration, acquisition, or Community Connect conversion.
- Strong experience with:
- CCDA / CCD
- PAMI data conversion
- Data migration
- ETL processes
- Data validation and reconciliation
- Source-to-target mapping
- Experience converting data from legacy EMRs into Epic.
- Strong understanding of healthcare data quality and healthcare data structures.
- Hands-on experience working with Epic conversion tools and Epic Bridges.
- Working knowledge of:
- HL7
- CCD / CCDA
- XML
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced implementation environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience performing Epic data conversions without relying heavily on a traditional interface engine.
- Experience with Epic Patient Abstractor.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale Epic migrations involving multiple source systems.

- NextGen
- Allscripts
- Experience supporting behavioral health, public health, or community health organizations.
- Additional Epic technical certifications.
