Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Linux System Administrator with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in managing LAMP-based environments and automation. You will play a key role in ensuring the stability, security, and scalability of our cloud and on-premise infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) environments for optimal performance and uptime.
- Monitor infrastructure using tools like Zabbix or Nagios, and respond to incidents proactively.
- Develop and implement security measures using ModSecurity, fail2ban, and firewall configurations.
- Automate routine server-side tasks using Bash or Python scripting.
- Administer and troubleshoot Postfix mail servers.
- Handle MySQL database management, including crash recovery and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Ops, Dev, BI, Infra) to streamline deployment and monitoring.
- Implement and manage configuration management tools like Ansible, SaltStack, or Chef.
- Ensure 24x7 system availability and implement disaster recovery strategies.
- Evaluate and integrate DevOps tools to enhance operational efficiency.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of infrastructure and development processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Linux system administration.
- Strong expertise in LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP).
- Proficiency in Bash and/or Python scripting for automation.
- Experience with Postfix, Zabbix, Nagios, and firewall/IPTables configuration.
- Familiarity with Ansible, SaltStack, or Chef.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and cloud/on-prem infrastructure.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
