Accounting Systems Analyst needed in Miami FL! This is 4 days on site and 1 day remote. Job DescriptionServe as a subject matter expert for merchant payment acceptance, addressing day-to-day payment issues and managing escalations. Lead initiatives to enhance payment flows, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Perform in-depth data analyses to identify root causes, trends, and optimization opportunities. Develop and maintain insightful dashboards and reports.Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve complex payment-related issues across gateways, processors, and internal platforms.
  • Lead and support ad hoc projects aimed at improving payment flow into and out of the business.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all payment processes.
  • Perform deep-dive data analysis and investigations, identifying root causes, trends, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Write and execute SQL queries to pull, analyze, and validate data across payment platforms.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting using Power BI, translating data into clear insights.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, product, technology, compliance, and external vendors.
  • Provide clear analysis and recommendations, including roadmaps for process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Conduct detailed reviews of payment data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and operational transparency.

Essential Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in payments, money movement, or merchant payment acceptance.
  • Strong hands-on experience with payment gateways and payment processing workflows.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience pulling and analyzing large data sets.
  • Experience building and interpreting reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed investigations and translate findings into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience working for or closely with a payment gateway provider is strongly preferred.
  • Proven capability to operate independently and manage workstreams in a niche, complex environment.

Work EnvironmentThe role requires working in the office four days a week, with the option to work remotely on Fridays. This provides a balanced work environment with opportunities for collaboration and independent work.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Miami, FL.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
