Senior Manager Project Controls – EPC Natrium Project

The Senior Manager Project Controls is a key member of the Project Controls team for the Natrium EPC project, responsible for establishing, maintaining, and optimizing the integrated project schedule across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and regulatory workstreams. This role ensures schedule integrity, drives critical-path awareness, and provides strategic schedule guidance to project leadership, contractors, and execution teams. The ideal candidate brings strong EPC scheduling experience, deep Primavera P6 expertise, and proven capability supporting complex nuclear or large industrial megaprojects.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule Development & Integration

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize the integrated EPC master schedule in Primavera P6.
  • Define schedule architecture, WBS hierarchy, coding structures, calendars, and logic standards.
  • Ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, construction, licensing, commissioning, and supplier schedules.
  • Facilitate schedule development workshops with internal stakeholders and EPC partners.

Schedule Analysis & Reporting

  • Perform detailed critical path, near-critical path, and float analyses to identify trends and risks.
  • Conduct monthly schedule health checks, including DCMA 14-point assessments and logic quality reviews.
  • Prepare and deliver schedule dashboards, narratives, and performance metrics for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Support earned value integration and forecast-to-complete scenario modelling.

Change Management & Risk Integration

  • Evaluate schedule impacts of proposed changes, trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Develop mitigation strategies and what-if simulations for re-sequencing and acceleration options.
  • Support risk register integration and probabilistic schedule risk analysis (e.g., PERT, Monte Carlo).
  • Ensure schedule baselines and revisions adhere to project governance requirements.

Execution Support

  • Partner with engineering, construction management, procurement, and licensing teams to ensure schedule accuracy and predictability.
  • Review contractor schedules for compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Provide coaching on schedule best practices to project engineers, field teams, and partner organizations.
  • Participate in readiness reviews, phase gate assessments, and integration meetings.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in project scheduling on large-scale EPC or industrial projects.
  • Expert proficiency with Primavera P6. • Demonstrated experience with schedule governance, critical path management, and baseline control.
  • Strong understanding of EPC workflows, procurement cycles, construction sequencing, and commissioning logic.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional scheduling coordination with internal teams and major contractors.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex schedule concepts for stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Experience with nuclear, large-scale energy, or advanced reactor projects.
  • Familiarity with AACE guidelines, DOE/NRC project environments, or major infrastructure megaprojects.
  • Experience with schedule risk analysis tools (Acumen, Safran, @Risk).
  • PMP, PSP, or equivalent professional certification.

Salary Range: $151,882 - $202,509

Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience. This range is specific to Wyoming State.
