Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA to join our growing data team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality and a strong understanding of testing data and reporting projects. The person must have experience in testing data/reporting projects. They will be responsible for pioneering, developing and implementing test suites, and ensuring that our teams output meet the highest quality standards and accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and strategise the testing initiative in the data team. Be a strong advocate for quality
- Collaborate with data engineers to ensure that new features are properly tested. Correlating data between the source system, the data warehouse (Snowflake) and Reporting (Power BI)
- A strong communicator who is able to communicate the test output / plan for the short and medium term
- Design and implement test scripts and execute them manually
- Experience in automated testing is a bonus
- Proactively updates engineers when issues are identified
- Track and document testing scenarios and results
- Stay up to date on the latest QA technologies and trends
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in QA
- Must have experience in data/reporting projects including experience in a medallion data architecture and Power BI
- Excellent communication in English and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
