Role Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst, Investment & Productivity Reporting will join the Investment & Productivity Reporting & Analysis Team within Northern Trust's Finance organization.

This role is responsible for enterprise-wide IT capital reporting, forecasting, planning, and data management. The successful candidate will support the delivery of actual, forecasted, and planned IT capital reporting across the organization while partnering closely with Strategic Portfolio Management and key stakeholders to enhance reporting capabilities and drive data quality improvements. The position also plays an important role in process optimization, automation initiatives, and management reporting.

Major Duties

  • Deliver enterprise-wide IT capital reporting on a daily and monthly basis.
  • Maintain and enhance the IT capital data management framework to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Support and manage connectivity between portfolio/project management platforms and reporting solutions.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools to meet business and leadership requirements.
  • Analyze and explain fluctuations in IT capital forecasts resulting from project portfolio changes and business decisions.
  • Partner with Strategic Portfolio Management, business leaders, and functional stakeholders to provide data-driven insights and capital analysis.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting for senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and implement automation solutions to improve efficiency and reporting effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with team members on productivity reporting initiatives, reporting templates, and related support activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to strengthen reporting processes, controls, and analytical capabilities.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to evaluate large and complex data sets.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data management methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly to various stakeholder groups.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Ability to build effective partnerships and influence stakeholders across functions.

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, reporting, or data analytics.
  • Experience within the financial services industry preferred.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.
  • Knowledge of project portfolio management and capital planning processes is preferred.

Working Hours:

Mon-Fri; 4PM - 1AM Manila
