A vendor-agnostic UK Crown Commercial Services accredited supplier, we have delivered over 120 cloud-hosted digital services across the public sector, working in partnership with clients to research and develop outcomes and services spanning artificial intelligence, data science, low code and complex code software engineering, cyber security, cloud engineering, and user-centred design. We are building a team to support a new opportunity providing Engineering and Technical support for our data fusion platform. This team will drive the operational implementation of this low-TRL product, bridging the gap between tactical edge sensors in low-bandwidth environments and strategic HQs running enterprise analytics.

Agile in Defence Environments: Expertise in adapting Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies within governed UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) framework constraints (e.g., Service Standard / GDS alignment).

Deployment & Logistics Awareness: Understanding the friction of deploying software to tactical hardware and disconnected/edge environments.

Risk & Dependency Management: Tracking complex cross-team dependencies, multi-feed data availability, and security accreditation milestones.

Resource & Velocity Tracking: Managing multi-disciplinary engineering capacity across software, data, and user research streams.

Clearance & Security Governance: Navigating personnel security clearances, secure facility access, and information assurance protocols.

The experience you’ll bring

Delivery & Governance: Agile in Defence, MOD Service Standard, GDS Frameworks, Kanban, Scrum, Sprint Planning, Dependency Management, Delivery Governance.

Deployment & Ops: Edge Deployment, DIL (Disconnected, Intermittent, Limited), Information Assurance (IA), Accreditation Milestones, MoD Security Standards.

Leadership & Ops: Resource Allocation, Velocity Tracking, Cross-Functional Leadership, Multi-Agency Stakeholders, Supplier Management.

Important Information

Start Date: ASAP

Security Requirements: Minimum clearance required is SC - due to the nature of the role and the security requirements the post holder must be a British Citizen

Days on Site: 2-3

Travel: The role would be ideally based in London but we are willing to consider applications from across the UK. There will be a requirement for travel to client sites

SFIA Level: 5/6
