Senior QA Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

· Perform functional and automated testing for legacy and web-based applications to ensure reliability and accuracy.

· Develop, maintain, and execute automation scripts using Selenium or similar tools for web and API layers.

· Validate business workflows and system integrations through comprehensive test coverage.

· Collaborate with developers, QA peers, and product teams to align testing efforts with project goals.

· Analyze test results, report defects, and work closely with development teams for timely resolution.

· Prepare and maintain test plans, execution reports, and documentation for stakeholders.

· Stay informed about emerging tools and best practices to enhance testing efficiency.

· Adapt between automation and functional testing based on project needs, ensuring flexibility and thorough coverage

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

· 4+ years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on test automation and functional testing.

· Hands-on experience with Selenium and proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, or C#).

· Working knowledge of API testing using tools such as Postman or RestAssured.

· Familiarity with test frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or PyTest.

· Exposure to CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.

· Ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze test results, and contribute to effective solutions.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

· Working knowledge of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) tools such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.

· Familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs for cross- browser and device testing.

· ISTQB certification or similar professional qualification is a plus.
