What you will be doing:
- Manage five distinct teams, leading concurrent technology projects across digital workplace, infrastructure, cyber security, and IDAM domains while maintaining workstream oversight.
- Execute end-to-end project delivery by managing sprint planning, backlogs, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance, prioritisation, and performance management for project teams while collaborating with stakeholders, leads, and engineers to define project scope and objectives.
- Proactively embed AI tools and automation into project management processes to boost efficiency, improve reporting, and enhance decision-making.
- Maintain strict project governance (including RAID logs, budget tracking, and status reporting) while identifying and resolving risks and blockers to ensure project momentum.
- Act as a communication bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex concepts into actionable information and contributing to strategic delivery framework improvements.
- Establish a formal performance layer, using data to validate project status rather than relying on subjective assessments.
- Support the prioritization of 70+ roadmap items and key project milestones, helping determine project scope and scheduling.
- Produce leadership and townhall content while holding project leads accountable to their commitments without introducing unnecessary administrative burdens.
What our client is looking for:
- 12 - 15 years of project/programme management or consulting experience, primarily within technology-led environments, ideally in financial services or the technology industry.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments, consistently delivering to scope and on time.
- Hands-on experience delivering projects across specific domains, such as digital workplace, infrastructure, engineering, or cyber and information security.
- Practical knowledge of hybrid and agile delivery frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), with the ability to coach teams on best practices.
- Proficiency in leveraging AI tools to enhance project management processes, including planning, reporting, risk management, and team productivity.
- Strong capability in managing and developing project resources, paired with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to present effectively to senior and executive stakeholders.
- Ability to anticipate issues and present solutions rather than just identifying problems.
- Expected to constructively challenge leadership to sharpen thinking, while also navigating team dynamics and interpersonal sensitivities skillfully.
- Competence with metrics, dashboard creation, and data validation.
- Background in multi-team tech environments with a strong understanding of effective delivery and a genuine enthusiasm for technological change.
- Ability to write clearly and concisely for senior audiences.
