Our 95,000 employees work across more than 150 countries to put patients first — developing innovative medical technologies that improve the lives of 72+ million patients each year. A Day in the Life
Global Conventions & Labs brings together service capabilities that Medtronic operating units draw on: the Clinical Content Studio, US mobile labs and innovation centers, US demo and sample distribution, and global congresses and conventions. This role provides the process improvement and program management layer across those service lines — structure, governance and facilitation for cross-functional initiatives.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Build and maintain integrated program plans across Global Conventions, Labs, Samples and the Clinical Content Studio — roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, deliverables and the decision points where a slip in one workstream cascades into another.
- Establish and run program governance: a standing cadence with service owners, progress and variance tracking, and disciplined follow-through on corrective actions.
- Support intake, prioritization and sequencing of new initiatives based on impact, dependencies, capacity and operational readiness, and connect related initiatives to reduce duplicated effort.
- Develop and execute stakeholder communication plans and support internal communications for the organization — leadership updates, impact narratives, service announcements and storytelling that connects the work to therapy adoption and commercial outcomes.
- Produce and maintain the value proposition assets for each service line so their offer is unmistakable to internal partners.
- Apply continuous improvement (Lean / Six Sigma style methods, metrics, root-cause analysis, cost-benefit analysis) to program execution, partner engagement and reporting
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced knowledge of program and process improvement practice, combining breadth and depth; practical knowledge of project management.
- Proven ability to work independently under limited supervision, determine the approach to solutions, and lead or facilitate cross-functional teams without formal authority.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with senior internal and external stakeholders; may coach, guide or review the work of less experienced professionals.
