About the role:
Ogilvy One is on the hunt for a Senior Digital Project Manager to join the NZ team on a short-term contract for 2-3 months.
As a Senior Digital Project Manager, you will build award-winning brands and solve business problems creatively. You must be adept at managing varied groups of stakeholders and prioritising deliverables to produce exceptional work every time.
You will serve as a senior consultant to some of our largest and most progressive clients, helping them make key decisions and remain their day-to-day contact throughout the full lifecycle of the programs. In this role, you will be expected to manage multiple concurrent projects and ongoing client relationships with ownership of the account's financial performance.
The role requires strategic thinking, technical acumen, and hands-on leadership in complex project lifecycles—balancing marketing automation, CRM solutions, and content management systems.
What you’ll do:
- Lead cross-functional teams through full project lifecycles, from initiation to deployment, ensuring timely, on-budget, and quality delivery.
- Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans detailing resources, milestones, risks, dependencies, and timelines.
- Collaborate with client and internal stakeholders (creative, data, content, consulting, technology) to define objectives and gather requirements.
- Utilise and promote project management and workflow platforms (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Wrike, Monday.com, SharePoint) for tracking, reporting, communication, and workflow effectiveness.
- Implement best practices for project management, adopting methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid approaches.
- Engage with marketing automation platforms (Salesforce, Adobe, Oracle, Braze, Sitecore, Magento, Tealium) and customer data platforms (CDP), CRM, and CMS technologies.
- Mentor and guide junior project managers, championing team excellence and continuous improvement.
- Foster a productive, inclusive, and collaborative environment across distributed teams in various geographies and time zones.
- Manage project profitability, resource allocation, and proactively mitigate risks and issues.
- Support pre-sales activities by preparing proposals, statements of work, and change requests.
- Maintain governance standards, regularly updating project documentation and compliance.
What you'll bring:
- Experience: Experience in digital project management, preferably in agency or consulting contexts, with a track record in marketing automation, CRM, and CMS implementations.
- Technical: Experience with PM/Workflow platforms (Wrike or Monday) and collaboration tools (Slack, Teams, Zoom). Familiarity with HTML, XML, JavaScript, SQL, APIs, and DevOps processes is advantageous.
- Certifications: PMP, Scrum Master, or SAFe certification preferred.
- Methodologies: Deep understanding of Agile, Waterfall, hybrid, and servient leadership approaches.
- Leadership: Strong stakeholder and team management skills, proven mentoring capability.
- Industry Exposure: Experience with large-scale digital marketing solutions, CX technologies, and digital transformation in diverse industry sectors.
- Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
