Job summary

The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for managing and coordinating Professional Services IT projects primarily across the APAC (Asia-Pacific) region. This role is a 6-month Fixed-Term Contract with AET (Australian Eastern Time) aligned hours.

We are looking for someone with +3 years of project management experience in an IT or technology environment who is ready to take ownership of projects while continuing to develop their project management skills within a global Professional Services organization.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and an excellent communicator. As this role primarily supports customers and stakeholders in the APAC region, the candidate must be comfortable and available to work a late/shifted schedule to provide appropriate coverage across APAC business hours.

What you will do

  • Manage multiple concurrent IT and Professional Services projects for customers across the APAC region, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to agreed quality standards.
  • Own projects through the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, delivery, and closure.
  • Develop, maintain, and actively manage project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables.
  • Lead regular project meetings with customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear agendas, actions, decisions, owners, and follow-up.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for project stakeholders and maintain clear, professional, and proactive communication throughout project delivery.
  • Identify project risks, issues, and potential delays early and drive appropriate mitigation or escalation.
  • Track project progress and provide accurate and timely status reporting to customers, internal stakeholders, and management.
  • Coordinate resources and activities across cross-functional teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Manage project documentation and ensure information is complete, accurate, and maintained according to project governance standards.
  • Support the management of project budgets, resource utilization, timesheets, and invoicing processes.
  • Work closely with Senior Project Managers and Professional Services leadership on complex projects, escalations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in post-project reviews and identify opportunities to improve project delivery processes and the customer experience.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, particularly when managing project schedules, actions, risks, customer commitments, and project documentation.

What you will have

  • +3 years of hands-on project management experience, preferably managing customer-facing IT, software, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or Professional Services projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects through the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through delivery and closure.
  • Experience managing projects and stakeholders within the APAC region, including working across different time zones.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to lead customer meetings and communicate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and accountable approach, with the ability to identify issues and follow through on actions without requiring constant direction.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams and managing project dependencies.
  • Working knowledge of IT service delivery, software delivery, infrastructure, cybersecurity, or related technology environments.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and practices, including Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and/or traditional project management approaches.
  • Experience with project and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Salesforce, Microsoft Project, Rocketlane, or similar platforms.
  • Availability and willingness to work a late/shifted schedule to provide coverage for the APAC region and participate in customer and stakeholder meetings during APAC business hours.
  • Experience working within a Professional Services or customer-facing technology organization.

Nice to have

  • Experience working within a Professional Services or customer-facing technology organization.
  • Experience working within cybersecurity, PKI, digital certificates, or certificate lifecycle management.
  • Relevant project management certification or training, such as CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation, PMP coursework, Scrum, or Agile certification.
  • Experience working within a global, multidisciplinary organization.
  • Exposure to project financial management, including budgets, resource utilization, timesheets, and invoicing.

What Success Looks Like

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and highly detail-oriented project manager who can confidently take ownership of customer-facing projects while knowing when to escalate or seek guidance.

You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, driving actions to completion, communicating clearly with customers and internal teams, and working independently within established project governance processes.

Most importantly, you will be comfortable working across time zones and adjusting your working hours to ensure consistent, high-quality project management coverage for customers and stakeholders across the APAC region.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package
  • Generous paid time off, including holidays and additional leave options
  • Family-friendly leave policies, including maternity, paternity, and other supportive leave programs
  • Health and wellness support, including medical cover (where applicable), gym reimbursements, and mental well-being resources
  • Pension, life insurance, and income protection benefits (location dependent)
  • Employee Assistance Program with 24/7 confidential support for employees and their families
  • Education assistance and professional development opportunities
  • Access to LinkedIn Learning and continuous learning resources
  • Employee referral bonus program and additional company perks and discounts
  • Business travel insurance and global employee support programs
