What’s the role?

The Product Sales Manager (PSM) is a sales professional who is highly motivated, results-driven, and possesses technical proficiency. Their main objective is to promote and increase sales of 3D optical technology within their designated territory.

The PSM's responsibilities include developing and nurturing strong relationships with customers, identifying new sales opportunities, and providing the necessary technical and commercial expertise to expand the company's market presence with these products. Additionally, the PSM actively seeks out innovative ways to assist customers in enhancing their quality control processes and implementing advanced metrology solutions. By being proactive and knowledgeable about the products they represent, the PSM plays a crucial role in driving sales growth and contributing to the company's success.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Engage new and existing customers to achieve sales booking objectives.
  • Identify and create new sales opportunities to expand the company’s market presence – especially into large, complex corporations with multi-step, consultative sales processes and extended sales cycles.  
  • Willingness to manage and travel a large territory within the PSM’s region.
  • Identify and share leads with other sales teams and channels to maximize sales potential.
  • Explore innovative ways to support customers and provide exceptional service. Collaborate with various departments to ensure a seamless customer experience and take ownership of customer success.
  • Collaborate closely with our technical team to deliver top-notch product and solution demonstrations.
  • Follow the ZEISS sales process to propose the best solution for the customer’s needs.
  • Support sales and marketing events to promote our products and engage with potential customers.
  • Follow our proven ZEISS Sales Process to tailor the best solutions for customers' specific needs.
  • Keep our CRM system updated with all sales activities, relationships, and the status of sales leads and opportunities.

Do you qualify?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field. A background in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering is preferred.
  • 2-5 years of proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the field of metrology or precision measurement systems.

The salary offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.

     

This position is eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions.

The annual pay range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000.
