Job Title: Financial AnalystJob DescriptionThe Financial Analyst plays a key role in supporting the development of the annual departmental budget, including major capital projects, by collecting and consolidating financial data. This position is responsible for analyzing financial performance and preparing monthly forecasts for station operations and maintenance (O&M) as well as capital expenditures. Leveraging accounting and information systems, the analyst identifies, investigates, and reconciles accounting issues, assessing their impact on the overall budget. The role includes generating routine financial reports to explain budget and forecast variances, recording and summarizing financial transactions, and preparing special reports for leadership.

Responsibilities• Support the development of the annual departmental budget, including major capital projects.

  • Analyze financial performance and prepare monthly forecasts for station operations and maintenance (O&M) as well as capital expenditures.
  • Identify, investigate, and reconcile accounting issues using accounting and information systems.
  • Assess the impact of accounting issues on the overall budget.
  • Generate routine financial reports to explain budget and forecast variances.
  • Record and summarize financial transactions.
  • Prepare special reports for leadership.

Additional Skills & Qualifications• Experience with Macros in Excel

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance
  • 2+ years of experience in either General Ledger (GL) accounting or Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
  • Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation if in accounting
  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis if in FP&A
  • Experience working for a company with revenue over $100 million

Work EnvironmentThe position requires onsite work with 10-hour workdays from Monday to Thursday. Enjoy a four-day work week while contributing to a company dedicated to producing clean energy and going green.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berwick, PA.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
