Senior Software Engineering Program Manager, Consumer Notebooks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Program Manager to lead end-to-end software and system development programs for consumer computing products, including notebooks and desktop platforms. This role will drive cross-functional execution across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and product teams to deliver high-quality products from concept through launch. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in consumer device development, strong program leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex global stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end software and system development programs for notebook and desktop products, ensuring successful execution from concept, development, validation, and production release.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product management, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and external partners to achieve program objectives.
  • Develop and manage program schedules, milestones, resource plans, risk assessments, and budget tracking to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate build readiness, prototype planning, and component logistics while monitoring program progress and resolving execution challenges.
  • Communicate program status, risks, dependencies, and escalation plans to stakeholders and senior leadership, driving timely decision-making.
  • Establish and drive program management best practices, continuous improvement initiatives, and process compliance while mentoring less-experienced team members.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12+ years of experience in software engineering program management, technical program management, or related roles.
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end software and system development programs for notebook, desktop, or consumer computing products.
  • Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, Agile/Scrum practices, project planning, risk management, and cross-functional program execution.
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Mandarin.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with global engineering teams and external development partners.
  • Strong understanding of consumer device architecture, platform integration, and new product introduction processes.
  • Experience utilizing program management tools such as JIRA, Agile planning platforms, and project tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders, drive organizational alignment, and lead complex initiatives in a matrixed environment.
