We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Research Operations team! Your primary focus will be supporting our data infrastructure by building pipelines, managing databases, and creating dashboards that collect, clean, and deliver data for algorithm development. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to monitor and troubleshoot ongoing research studies, while exploring automated solutions to ensure high data quality and integrity.

What You’ll Do

  • Build Data Pipelines: Build and maintain data pipelines, databases, and dashboards to collect, manage, and deliver data for algorithm development.
  • Enable Current Studies: Work across teams to monitor and troubleshoot research studies in-flight.
  • Ensure Data Quality: Explore and implement automated processes to uphold data integrity.

What We’re Looking For

We would love to have you on our team if you have:

  • A Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Physics, Math, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience with Python and SQL, writing production-quality, maintainable code.
  • Experience with cloud and data platforms, especially AWS, Databricks, including hands-on ownership of pipelines or infrastructure
  • Experience in data visualization and dashboard design (e.g., Tableau).
  • Adaptability within a dynamic and collaborative environment.
  • Commitment to improve processes and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Deep curiosity to dive into the details of human research studies.

We also appreciate if you have familiarity with the following:

  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL database systems.
  • Exposure to multi-modal and sensor data.
  • Experience with collaborative code tools (e.g., Git), including reviewing others' code and upholding engineering best practices.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and workflows (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code, or similar)
