Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
- 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch (e.g., ideation to execution, end-to-end, 0 to 1, etc.).
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to executive leadership.
- Experience with deploying machine learning models in production, including quality evaluation and policy design.
- Experience with geospatial datasets or large, complex datasets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage product roadmaps, and deliver high-quality products on schedule.
- Comfort with SQL, Python, and self-directed data analysis.

As a part of the Basemap Data team, the Data Product Manager delivers data products that power search, navigation, and orientation use cases across Geo.
In this role, you will be focused on building and scaling the fundamental data layers of our map products. This includes maintaining a fresh and accurate core road network or delivering safety and driver-assistance attributes. These data products power critical use cases ranging from foundational routing and consumer navigation to advanced automotive features like adaptive cruise control for Auto OEM partners.
As a part of this role, you will take on critical short and long-term deliverables, where you will get to learn a lot about the geospatial market and how to build data that scales.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

- Collaborate with engineering and operations to deliver scalable systems powered by AI and operations that bring detailed road network, geometry, road signs, and other attribute data to power use cases across consumer and auto surfaces.
- Define enterprise-grade quality standards for core basemap data products (including toads, signs, or speed limits data), ensuring we can continue to meet enterprise user needs in the new world of AI-powered services.
- Identify and integrate new data sources, such as vehicle sensor observations, driving telemetry, users reports, and imagery to maintain a fresh map of the real world.
- Drive the prioritization and development of new features that increase the level of detail of our foundational roads and speed limit product offering.
- Lead market research on both consumer and auto offerings to influence the data roadmap.
