About the Role – Why is this position unique?

Are you an experienced developer looking to step up to a Principal level, but instead of writing yet another microservice, you want to make a real, company-wide impact on how secure code is written?

Your goal? To become the "voice of the developers" within the Application Security team. We want you to help us design security tools, processes, and automation that software engineers will actually love and easily adopt in their daily workflows. You don’t need a background in security—we will easily teach you all the domain-specific security knowledge on the job. What we need from you is your deep expertise in how modern software is built.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Bridge the Engineering Gap: Translate complex security concepts into simple, developer-friendly tools, libraries, and automated workflows.

• Evangelize Engineering Best Practices: Share your practical software engineering knowledge (CI/CD, automation, testing) with the AppSec team to ensure our security processes align seamlessly with a developer’s daily workflow.

• Drive AI-Powered Innovation: Co-create AI skills and agentic solutions that help developers automatically identify and remediate code vulnerabilities.

• Data-Driven Security Design: Gather and analyze security metrics to generate actionable reports, using those insights to architect technical solutions and streamlined processes that strengthen our overall security posture

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

We do not require cyber security certifications or years of experience as an ethical hacker. We are looking for a sharp, proactive engineer who brings:

• Strong Software Engineering Background: Proven experience in software development (ideally in a Java / JVM environment, e.g., at a Tech Lead, Senior, or aspiring Principal level).

• Deep Understanding of the SDLC: Hands-on, fluent knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployments, and release management.

• Agile Mindset: Comfort working in a fast-paced, iterative environment (Agile, Scrum).

• AI-Forward Attitude: Zero hesitation in using AI tools on a daily basis. Advanced knowledge and a strong interest in AI harness development is a major plus, as we aim to build solutions that allow developers to leverage AI for security tasks.

• Curiosity for Security: A genuine interest in Application Security (any knowledge gaps in this specific domain can be easily caught up on within your first few weeks with the team).
