Job Profile Summary

Established in 2023, CMA is a global business unit platform with operations in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas. It represents the single centre of excellence for our advisory business and related financing activities across ING, incorporating Corporate Finance (M&A), Acquisition Finance, Global Capital Markets (Debt Capital Markets, Asset Securitization and Ratings Advisory), and Loan Distribution Group. CMA aims to capture opportunities in our clients’ boardrooms to deliver high value-added strategic advisory and financing services. In addition, CMA business units play a central role in the acceleration the firm’s strategic ‘must-win’ on capital velocity.  

 

About Acquisition Finance (AF)

ING Acquisition Finance (“AF”) has a team of over 70 professionals with offices in London, New York, Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, Brussels, Madrid, Singapore and Sydney. AF is a market leading arranger and underwriter of leveraged loans backing buyouts by some of the largest top tier global private equity funds. Our market leading and growing AF team in APAC (9 professionals) is responsible for leveraged loan transactions in the region and coverage of global and regional private equity funds operating in Asia and Australia. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with the attitude and skillset to be part of a highly dynamic and driven team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment gaining exposure to live deals, working directly with senior bankers in the industry.

Job Responsibilities:

Primary responsibilities will include deal execution, credit analysis and assisting Loan Distribution Group on new deals. You will be reporting directly to the Regional Head of AF.

  • Contribute to the origination of new transactions by drafting pitch books
  • Support the team with the credit approval and legal documentation processes, including:
  • Advanced financial modeling
  • Analysis of due diligence including financial, business and market analysis
  • Assist with drafting credit applications
  • Manage operational processes for smooth execution of new transactions
  • Collaborate and form deal teams with other departments, such as Sector Teams, Loan Distribution Group, Debt Capital Markets, Financial Markets and Corporate Finance (M&A)
  • Support syndication processes working closely with Loan Distribution Group

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in leveraged finance, acquisition finance or related financial services
  • Detail oriented, systematic and strong analytical skills
  • Effective team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Highly proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word
