My management style is to set clear expectations of the work and quality expected, provide flexibility in your approach to achieving that, but to hold you to account for the delivery of the work that was agreed upon. This team works on a ‘no surprises’ approach – keep your key stakeholders in the loop, and you will find support as you work through the process.
