Product Engineering Manager, Salesforce

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Engineering Manager, Salesforce based in India.

This role combines technical leadership, people management, and Salesforce product engineering in a fast-moving environment. You will oversee the development of products, reusable assets, and strategic tools across the Salesforce ecosystem. The position offers the opportunity to work hands-on with technologies such as Agentforce, Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, Claude, and Codex. You will guide architectural, packaging, development, and DevOps decisions while ensuring solutions are scalable and effective. Close collaboration with product leaders, engineers, and other stakeholders will be essential to translate market needs into valuable technical solutions. You will also help the team adopt AI-powered development tools and emerging technologies to improve how products are designed and delivered. This is an opportunity for an experienced Salesforce leader to combine technical ownership with team development and innovation.

Accountabilities

• Oversee the technical development of new and existing Salesforce products, assets, and implementation tools.

• Provide technical leadership and people management for engineering resources, supporting team performance, development, and delivery.

• Drive strategic architectural decisions across the product portfolio, including technical design, packaging, scalability, and DevOps considerations.

• Lead hands-on solution design, proof-of-concept development, implementation, testing, and deployment.

• Guide engineering teams in using Salesforce technologies such as Agentforce, Lightning Web Components, Flow, Console, and Apex.

• Leverage AI development tools such as Claude and Codex to support efficient and effective engineering practices.

• Participate throughout the complete software development lifecycle, from ideation and planning through development, deployment, and ongoing product success.

• Collaborate with product owners, product engineering leads, and developers to evaluate market demand, prioritize work, and refine product requirements.

• Translate business and customer needs into scalable, value-driven technical solutions.

• Support continuous improvement of engineering practices, technical standards, and product development processes.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience, with a strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, capabilities, and technical constraints.

• Demonstrated experience managing technical teams or engineering resources.

• Experience with Salesforce Agentforce solutions and a strong interest in AI-enabled technologies.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical discipline.

• Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems and technologies.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to frame solutions in both business and technical terms.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Experience with Salesforce managed packages and AppExchange submissions is an advantage.

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web development is desirable.

• Experience with digital channels, contact center applications, Service Cloud, or Service Cloud Voice is a plus.

• Experience with AWS development is beneficial.

• Comfortable working with emerging AI development tools and adapting to new technologies and engineering practices.
