The Crew Data Solutions Analyst is responsible for designing, building, and maintain scalable, reliable and high-quality data pipelines and platforms that enable advanced analytics, reporting and data science initiatives. The role focuses on transformation raw data from multiple internal and external sources into trusted, well-governed data assets that support operational decision-making, optimization initiatives and enterprise analytics. Working closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, software engineers and IT partners, the Crew Data Solutions Analyst ensures data solutions are robust, performance, secure and aligned with enterprise data and engineering standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test, and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines of crewing related data for batch and near‑real‑time data ingestion, transformation, and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data architectures that support analytics, reporting, and advanced modeling use cases.
  • Integrate data from multiple structured and unstructured sources, ensuring data quality, completeness, and consistency.
  • Optimize data pipelines and storage for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to enable efficient access to clean, well‑modeled data sets for analysis and model development.
  • Implement data validation, monitoring, and alerting to proactively identify and resolve data issues.
  • Apply best practices for data engineering, including version control, automated testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance, security, privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Support the transition from “laptop‑scale” solutions to production‑grade, enterprise‑scale data platforms.
  • Troubleshoot and provide advanced support for data pipeline and platform issues.
  • Evaluate and adopt new tools, frameworks, and technologies to continuously improve data engineering capabilities.
  • Contribute reusable frameworks, templates, and code to support standardization and scalability across the enterprise.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3–6+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a related technical role (level dependent).
  • Strong experience with SQL and one or more programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Hands‑on experience building and maintaining data pipelines using modern data engineering frameworks and tools.
  • Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and distributed data processing concepts.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and data services (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka) and relational / NoSQL databases is an asset.
  • Understanding of DevOps and DataOps practices, including CI/CD and infrastructure‑as‑code.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with a pragmatic engineering mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while contributing to team‑based delivery.
  • Experience with Airline data and/or Human Resource data an asset.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
