Role Overview
We are looking for a Principal Consultant to join our Analytics team in India. In this role, you will help clients gain tangible value from their data by designing scalable, durable analytics and data visualization solutions. You will collaborate closely with clients, project managers, sales teams, leadership, and analytics consultants to deliver high-quality solutions and advance phData's delivery excellence. This role also contributes to client growth, team development, and analytics practice advancement.
Key Responsibilities
• Own the successful delivery of analytics consulting engagements by translating client requirements into scalable solutions across Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Snowflake, and related technologies.
• Lead client discovery, prototyping, visualization, and feedback sessions to refine requirements, align expectations, and achieve measurable project outcomes.
• Drive delivery planning and communication by managing team capacity, defining project timelines, and providing clear status updates to clients, project managers, sales teams, and leadership.
• Mentor and manage consultants and senior consultants through coaching, feedback, capability stand-ups, workshops, and alignment with role expectations and professional growth goals.
• Partner with account and sales leadership to identify expansion opportunities, strengthen client relationships, contribute to new business, and support analytics practice growth.
About You
You are a client-focused analytics delivery leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced, outcomes-driven environment. You are comfortable operating in distributed, global teams and partnering with colleagues across time zones.
Required Qualifications
Experience
• 8+ years of experience in data analytics, data visualization, analytics engineering, or related consulting functions.
• Previous experience leading, coaching, and mentoring analytics consultants.
Technical / Functional Skills
• Advanced experience with Power BI and data visualization platforms such as Tableau.
• Experience with Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with data warehouses, data marts, and data models.
• Experience designing scalable analytics solutions using cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, or Azure.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate data concepts clearly to business users and translate requirements into durable analytical solutions.
• Exceptional client-facing communication, project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
• Previous consulting experience delivering analytical solutions to external clients.
• Experience with Alteryx, KNIME, Dataiku, Sigma, or other analytics and data preparation platforms.
• Experience connecting analytics solutions to SAP, Databricks, SharePoint, Snowflake, AWS, or Azure data sources.
• Experience with Python and/or R scripting.
• Relevant certifications in analytics, data visualization, cloud platforms, or Power Platform tools, or demonstrated willingness to complete certifications aligned with business needs.
• Experience contributing to analytics practice development through reusable assets, delivery standards, technical content, blogs, webinars, or workshops.
