Sunflower LTD is an exciting and dynamic B2C gaming startup in Tel Aviv. Our mission is to create innovative and captivating gaming experiences that engage and thrill players.
As a Payments Data Analyst, you will analyze complex transactional payment data and investigate chargeback and fraud patterns to deliver actionable insights. Your work directly impacts the company's financial performance and growth by optimizing our payment processes and identifying revenue opportunities
Responsibilities
- Conduct ongoing analysis of payment transaction behaviors, monitoring approval rates, chargeback patterns, and fraud indicators to establish performance baselines and detect anomalies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance,Product, BI) to develop comprehensive payment analytics and fraud prevention strategies and to define requirements and specifications for payment analytics dashboards that track approval ratios, chargeback rates, fraud losses, and provider performance
- Establish payment analytics goals and monitoring policies, define fraud detection frameworks, and create internal guidelines for payment optimization
- Recommend data-driven payment solutions that improve approval rates and payment routing, reduce fraud losses, and enhance overall payment performance based on analytical insights
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a data-focused role (Data Analysis, BI, or similar).
- Strong SQL skills—you should be comfortable writing complex queries and debugging data issues.
- Experience with cloud-based BI tools (GCP/AWS) Advantage for BigQuery
- A detail-oriented mindset—you spot inconsistencies before anyone else.
- Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Strong analytical thinking and a detective-like approach to problem-solving.
- Familiarity with B2C environments and user behavior trends, bonus for gaming
Advantages:
- Experience with Python (Pandas, SciPy, NumPy)
- Knowledge of A/B testing including statistical methods
