Position Overview About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Technical and Content Writer (Bilingual Spanish/English)

to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing clear, concise, and engaging documentation supporting project teams, marketing initiatives, proposals and HR communications. This role requires exceptional writing skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate complex information into accessible content.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Documentation: Create, proofread, format and edit various project document types to ensure consistent, accurate and clear deliverables (i.e., Design Basis Memorandums, Scope of Works, Reports).
  • Content Optimization: Ensure all written materials align with brand guidelines and are structured for readability and engagement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Supporting mostly the Projects teams, Marketing and HR, the successful candidate will work closely across different departments to gather information, compile and improve reader’s experience, and ensure accuracy and quality (i.e., Onboarding Manuals, Website / Catalogue Content).
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline documentation processes and enhance knowledge-sharing across departments.
  • SharePoint Management: Update formatting and editing technical documents and file correctly within SharePoint.
  • Proposal and Business Development Content: Leading Spanish proposal and BD initiatives, supporting all cross-company proposal writing and coordination (English and Spanish).

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in Communications, English, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in technical writing, content development, or a related field. Experience working in the energy industry, at an engineering, procurement, and/or construction firm, or relatable field would be an asset.
  • Strong ability to write clear, concise, and structured content, tailored to different audiences.
  • Advanced skills in Office 365, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams, with the ability to learn new software programs quickly.
  • Understanding branding principles, corporate communication techniques, and HR documentation best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a team-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • High level of accuracy in preparing and managing documentation.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior interpersonal and customer service skills with professional demeanor.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages.

Compensation

The salary for this role is based on an average of 37.5 hours a week. The estimated range is between $70,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on skills and experience.
