We're looking for a Product Manager – Industrial Gases to join our team in Melbourne. This is a newly created role responsible for the strategic and commercial management of IXOM's industrial gases portfolio, helping drive growth, strengthen supplier relationships and identify new market opportunities across Australia.

About your role
As Product Manager – Industrial Gases, you will be responsible for the commercial and strategic performance of IXOM's bulk gases portfolio.
You'll manage the product lifecycle from supplier through to customer, ensuring competitive market positioning, profitable growth and reliable supply. Working closely with suppliers, logistics providers, operations and sales teams, you'll identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes while supporting the execution of IXOM's broader industrial gases strategy.
You'll also play a key role in supporting growth initiatives, evaluating new opportunities and helping expand the portfolio over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to grow IXOM's Industrial Gases portfolio.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from supplier through to customer.
- Set portfolio pricing, market positioning and growth initiatives.
- Identify and evaluate new products, markets and customer opportunities.
- Manage strategic supplier relationships and contract negotiations.
- Partner with logistics and operations teams to ensure security of supply.
- Support major customer tenders, contract renewals and growth projects.
- Drive fleet and asset utilisation strategies to support business growth.
Who are we looking for?
- Experience within industrial gases, chemicals, or related industrial sectors.
- Chemical or Mechanical Engineering qualification.
- Previous experience in product management, commercial management or business development roles.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing pricing, profitability and contracts.
- Experience managing suppliers, commercial partnerships and complex supply chains.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple business functions.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation and relationship-building capability.
- Exposure to asset-intensive or industrial supply chain environments.
