ABOUT THE JOB

Ingenico Android Competence Center (ACC) is tasked with building and maintaining payment software for use across regions.

We are looking for a Senior Manual QA Engineer to join our growing QA team in Hanoi. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of Android applications and libraries used in payment solutions worldwide.

You will work closely with developers, project leaders, and stakeholders to define test strategies, execute comprehensive test plans, validate releases, and continuously improve product quality throughout the software development lifecycle. You may also mentor junior QA engineers and lead QA activities within project teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with Agile Project Leaders, developers, and stakeholders to understand product requirements and define testing strategies.
  • Estimate testing effort and prepare detailed test plans for project releases.
  • Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases to ensure adequate test coverage.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and release testing for Android applications and libraries.
  • Work closely with development teams to support continuous validation and defect resolution.
  • Execute and analyze automation testing results when required.
  • Manage release validation activities and ensure product readiness before deployment.
  • Track, report, and improve QA metrics and testing effectiveness.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA team members on testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and QA practices.

REQUIREMENTS

Languages

  • Fluent English communication skills.

Education Qualifications / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control.
  • Hands-on experience testing mobile applications, particularly Android applications.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and defect management processes.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to investigate technical issues independently and efficiently.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Team leadership or mentoring experience is highly preferred.

Preferred

  • Experience leading small QA teams (2–5 members).
  • Understanding of automation testing concepts and the ability to execute automation test suites.
  • Experience with CI/CD environments and release validation processes.
  • Knowledge of the payment industry, fintech, or embedded systems is an advantage.
