Overview Are you passionate about using data, analytics, and AI-powered solutions to solve complex ecosystem challenges? The MSN Content Organization at Microsoft is looking for a Principal Product Manager to help build the tools, insights, and systems that enable a healthy, high-quality content marketplace.

As a Principal Product Manager, you will work at the intersection of product, analytics, engineering, and partner management to develop diagnostics, quality frameworks, and automation solutions that improve marketplace health and partner success. You will help transform complex data into actionable insights, build scalable self-service tools, and drive improvements that enable teams to make better decisions faster.

Responsibilities

  • Drive initiatives that improve visibility into partner performance, marketplace health, and content quality across the MSN ecosystem.
  • Develop and enhance diagnostic frameworks, investigation methodologies, and self-service tools that help identify root causes of partner and content performance issues.
  • Partner with Engineering, Analytics, Partner Success, and Business teams to define requirements, prioritize opportunities, and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Build and operationalize AI-powered workflows, automation tools, and investigation capabilities that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual analysis.
  • Translate complex datasets and business challenges into actionable insights, recommendations, and product improvements that drive better partner and marketplace outcomes.
  • Define, monitor, and communicate key marketplace health, quality, and partner performance metrics through dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions.

Qualifications Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development• OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development• OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience with content platforms, publisher ecosystems, marketplaces, recommendation systems, or trust and quality frameworks.
  • Experience with Power BI, Kusto, experimentation, measurement, root-cause analysis, or business intelligence tools.
  • Experience developing KPI frameworks, scorecards, dashboards, or operational reporting solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and independently driving analysis.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $142,800 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
