Do you love turning complex data into meaningful insights? As an Analytics Engineer II, you'll play a key role in building the foundation that powers data-driven decision-making across the business. You'll design and own enterprise-scale semantic models, create trusted metrics, and develop impactful Power BI reporting solutions using Microsoft Fabric.

In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our BI Product Owner, Data Engineering team, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable analytics that empower self-service reporting and drive smarter decisions. *This is an on-site position working a hybrid schedule (minimum 3 days in office every week) at the Texas Roadhouse Support Center in Louisville, Kentucky.

Your Recipe for Success

  • 4-6 years of experience in Analytics Engineering, BI Engineering, or advanced Power BI development
  • Strong expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, DAX, dimensional modeling, and performance optimization
  • Experience owning and supporting production-ready semantic models, datasets, and governed business metrics
  • Solid SQL skills and strong understanding of data modeling best practices
  • Experience building analytics solutions used by business stakeholders across an organization
  • Familiarity with Git and analytics deployment processes
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business partners
  • Experience aligned with Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP-600) capabilities
  • Bonus Points For:
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, Warehouse, or Direct Lake
  • Experience with Tabular Editor
  • Experience working within a product-based analytics environment

Certifications

  • DP-600 (Fabric Analytics Engineer) and PL-300 (Power BI Data Analyst) preferred
  • Candidates who do not currently hold these certifications should be willing to pursue them within their first 6-12 months of employment. We'll provide support along the way!

What's On Your Plate

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable semantic models in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
  • Create governed business metrics and complex DAX calculations that drive consistent reporting across the organization
  • Develop and support high-impact Power BI reports, dashboards, and applications
  • Optimize report performance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure data accuracy
  • Implement and manage row-level security, data governance standards, and certified datasets
  • Partner with Data Engineering to ensure analytics-ready data structures and solutions
  • Support self-service analytics by publishing reusable, trusted datasets
  • Monitor analytics asset performance, reliability, and user adoption
  • Contribute to analytics standards, documentation, and best practices
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver meaningful insights
  • Participate in modern analytics development practices, including Git, deployment pipelines, and CI/CD processes
