Project Manager | Freight Forwarding

About the Role

DP World is seeking a Project Manager, Freight Forwarding to join the Freight Forwarding Europe PMO team. In this role, you will lead the delivery of strategic initiatives across our European Freight Forwarding business, supporting the growth, integration, and continuous improvement of our Air and Ocean Freight operations.

As part of a developing PMO function, you will play a key role in driving project execution, support business integration activities, system implementations, and operational excellence initiatives. You will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders across operations, commercial, IT, finance, HR, and leadership teams to ensure projects are delivered successfully and generate measurable business value.

How You Will Contribute

• Lead and manage projects from initiation through execution and successful completion, ensuring delivery against defined timelines, budgets, quality standards, and business objectives.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, resources, risk assessments, governance frameworks, and stakeholder communication plans.
• Support strategic business initiatives and integration projects, including the integration of newly acquired businesses within the Freight Forwarding network.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across operations, commercial, IT, finance, HR, and country organizations to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
• Coach and support business and freight forwarding branches on performance management metrics, KPI monitoring, and the identification of opportunities to improve operational and commercial performance.
• Support the deployment of business systems and digital solutions, including Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and related operational processes.
• Partner with operational teams during implementation phases to ensure smooth adoption and effective change management.
• Monitor project performance, milestones, and KPIs, proactively identifying risks, resolving issues, and escalating where required.
• Coach and support business leaders and local teams on performance management metrics and best practices.
• Prepare business cases, project reports, and governance documentation to support informed decision-making.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of PMO methodologies, tools, templates, reporting standards, governance processes, and portfolio management capabilities across Freight Forwarding Europe.
• Promote continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, efficiency, and project delivery standards.

What You Will Bring

• Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations with proven project management experience in a complex, international environment.
• Strong understanding of freight forwarding operations, business integration projects, process improvement, and performance management principles.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels of the organization.
• A structured and analytical approach to problem-solving, combined with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English; additional languages such as German, French or Dutch are considered an advantage. Willingness to travel 30-50% across Europe and globally as required.
