Position Summary
This internship provides a hands-on, real-world Embedded Software Engineering experience for a highly motivated and analytical candidate. The intern will work directly with Comtech’s Engineering Team designing Satellite Communications Equipment.
This position reports directly to the Director of RF Engineering under the Space and Satellite segment, offering rare visibility and exposure for an intern-level role. Senior executives will set strategic direction and identify acquisition targets, while the intern will own much of the financial and analytical execution behind active and prospective transactions.
Responsibilities
- Participate and assist Comtech Engineers in the Design, Programming, Troubleshooting and debugging of embedded controller designs using ARM processors running Embedded LinuxOS (e.g Yocto Linux).
- Use a variety of programming languages including C/C++, Visual C++, Basic Programming
- Utilize test instruments including Oscilloscopes, Digital Multimeters, Logic Analyzers, etc
- Read/Understand/Draw Schematic Diagrams
- Gain Knowledge of Networking Protocols – TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP etc
Required Education
- Currently enrolled in a relevant Bachelor’s Degree program (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related discipline).

The pay range reflects the expected base salary for this position. Final compensation will be based on role, level, skills, experience, and geographic location.
