As a business application consulting generalist at PwC, you will provide consulting services for a wide range of business applications. You will leverage a broad understanding of various software solutions to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency through analysis, implementation, training, and support.

Job Description & Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Python Developer with strong experience in cloud platforms, scalable system design, and enterprise-grade application development. The role requires hands-on expertise in backend development, event-driven architecture, and modern DevOps practices.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs 

• Build and implement event-driven architectures for distributed systems 

• Work independently on product development initiatives with end-to-end ownership 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively across geographies 

• Ensure high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code 

 

Required Technical Skills 

Cloud & Infrastructure 

• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP 

• Experience with managed cloud services and scalable deployments 

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) 

Architecture & Systems 

• Experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures 

• Familiarity with tools such as Kafka, Event Hubs, or Pub/Sub 

• Experience building scalable, mission-critical enterprise systems 

Backend Development 

• Strong experience with Python frameworks such as Flask, Django, or FastAPI 

• Proven experience in building RESTful APIs 

Frontend (Good to Have) 

• Basic front-end development experience is desirable 

 

DevOps & Deployment 

• Experience with Kubernetes and containerized deployments 

• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g., Helm, Argo CD, Kustomize) 

• Experience with release management processes 

 

Testing & Quality 

• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as pytest or unittest 

 

SaaS & Integration Experience 

• Experience developing solutions on top of SaaS platforms, including integrations and extensions 

 

Soft Skills & Expectations 

• Strong ownership with ability to drive tasks end-to-end independently 

• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management 

• Ability to work across time zones and collaborate globally 

Mandatory skill sets:
