Senior Javascript Developer

Our client is looking for a Senior JavaScript Developer to join their engineering team and build, enhance, and maintain high-quality web applications and software solutions.

This role is ideal for an experienced developer with strong expertise in JavaScript and modern web development who can work across the frontend and backend as needed. You will collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions, improve application performance, and contribute to technical architecture and development best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using modern JavaScript technologies.
• Build and maintain high-quality frontend and backend functionality.
• Translate product requirements and designs into reliable, maintainable software.
• Develop reusable components and services following modern development best practices.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code.
• Develop and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, QA engineers, and other developers.
• Contribute to technical architecture and development decisions.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, planning, and estimation.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers when needed.
• Stay current with modern JavaScript frameworks, libraries, and development practices
• Must be based in Latam.

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript and modern JavaScript standards.
• Strong experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with at least one modern frontend framework, such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
• Strong understanding of HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Node.js and backend JavaScript development.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and clean code principles.
• Experience with Git and modern CI/CD development workflows.
• Experience debugging and optimizing production applications.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Experience with React and Node.js.
• Experience with Next.js or other modern fullstack frameworks.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Experience with AI/LLM integrations or AI-assisted development tools.
• Previous experience mentoring or leading developers.

• Work remotely Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week (no weekends)
