Job Title: Engineering Solutions Portfolio Manager

Location: Cambridge/London preferred, other EU locations may be considered depending on candidate

Employment Type: Full-time

 

The job  

The candidate will be a member of the AVEVA Engineering Portfolio team, whose responsibilities include defining portfolio functional scope and roadmaps in line with business unit priorities. This includes engaging with customers to understand their priorities and identifying opportunities for work process improvement as well as driving AVEVA R&D execution of roadmap plans. With this job in particular and focus on solutions, there is also a significant element of coordinating with contributing product plans and engaging relevant stakeholders and SME's for each product.

 

Key responsibilities 

  • Portfolio Solution Management
  • Customer intimacy and value-add identification
  • Driving product development execution according to distinct incremental delivery of value to the market
  • Promoting and evangelizing the solutions

 

Essential requirements 

  • Knowledge of the Process Plant EPC/OO and/or marine shipbuilding industry engineering and project execution practices
  • Knowledge about engineering or project execution software tools from AVEVA or other vendors
  • Customer & Market Focus
  • Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in prioritizing and delivering customer value in a lean, MVP fashion
  • Ability to think strategically and break down strategy into achievable steps and milestones 
  • Focus on measuring success and course correcting as needed
  • Ability to work cross functionally with both business and development teams

Desired skills 

  • Product management experience working with value driven approaches and data driven measures of success
  • Experience with balancing tactical customer requirements against longer term product strategic considerations
  • Knowledge of hypothesis testing and risk validation with customers
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and lean principles
